Poll: Christie’s Overall Job Approval Rating At 51 Percent

christie A new poll gives Governor Christie high marks for holding the line on spending. The Fairleigh Dickinson / PublicMind poll out Tuesday has Christie’s overall job approval rating at 51 percent. That’s higher than it was in March when he laid out a budget that cut school aid, suspended property tax rebates and didn’t make a public workers’ pension fund contribution.

Thirty-seven percent disapprove of the job the Republican governor is doing.

Just after his budget speech, 43 percent approved of his handling of the job; 32 percent disapproved.

The telephone poll of 831 registered voters was conducted Oct. 4-10 and has a sampling error margin of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. AP

  4. I too am proud to be in the 49% who disapprove…..just wait, the groups in the 51% will get their turn. Eventually Christie TURNS on everyone and anyone….wouldn’t want to be his wife or family!
