  1. I guess the store that probably has more video surveillance than Walmart probably paid off on their investment today. I don’t know of another store in Lakewood with more cameras. You’d think it’s a jewelery store!

  2. Ahem, it should be guarded like a jewelry store. U can’t eat jewelry, but those steak ! Boy can eat those steaks. And those chickens. They provide sustenance to 100s of yidden who then have Koach to do mitzvos. The amount of z’chusim a guy like Shloimie has should be the envy of everyone. & Miriam K is, hands down, THEE best store manager on the East Coast. Go Shloimie, we love you ! And those french Roasts, too !! DB.

  3. Cameras. Cameras and more cameras. It makes me make sure that I always have my shirt tucked in and my tie straight when I pick up my groceries. That is worth something too…no?

  4. Dad says to his son: “When I was a kid your age, my mom would send me to the grocery store with 2 dollars and I would come home with a loaf of bread, a bottle of milk, sugar, flour, 3 packages of cookies, a couple of chocolate bars, some chewing gum, and a six-pack of coke. Today… forget it! you cant do that anymore… there are too many security cameras in the store”.

within in your question lies your answer .

  6. To – The shoplifter’s defense lawyer says:
“Dad says to his son: “When I was a kid your age, my mom would send me to the grocery store with 2 dollars and …”

When I was a kid I COULD buy all that for the 2 dollars for my mom. And I would bring home some change.

  7. “why do they need so many cameras with 99% frum customers?”
Do you know why we have so many cameras? So that when you leave your packages, or wallet behind, we can help you find them.We check to see who left behind their change because they were too busy schmoozing on the phone and walked off without it. We have an employee who spends the first part of his day reviewing invoices that have anomalies and we compare with the cameras to make sure we have not mistakenly charged any cuystomer. When you shop Shloimy’s, you can be confident that we are doing our utmost to be ehrlich.
(And if you stockpile stolen meat in a bag and try get way with it, we will try get even with you as well)

  8. I think walletts can be returned without looking at the video stam wallet has i d & if it doesn’t than its stam momoyn sheayn boi siman & hefker

  9. Oiber Chochom – the dry letter of the law aside, how would you feel if you lost an envelope of money, without any real ID on it? Having the cameras has spared many people unnecessary Ogmas Nefesh.

  10. Dear Oiber, they will turn the caneras off when you come to shop (just give SKW a time and date). Then you can go right to the refrigerator and help yourself to as much galaretta as you could possibly stuff into your pockets; before they catch you, just run out the back door. I am sure that good old Ivan (the mason) will be waiting to share the p’tcha.
