A suspect known to police is wanted for the burglaries on dozens of Lakewood homes, Detective Captain Paul Daly tells TLS. Police believe the suspect, who was out on bail, is responsible for at least 5 burglaries last night on Hadassah Lane, approximately 10 burglaries before Pesach in Sterling Forest, and dozens of others which he was previously arrested for, Daly said.
“Police have information pertaining to who is responsible and are taking proactive steps to catch him”, Detective Daly said.
Most of the burglaries took place between the hours of 2AM-6AM Daly says, and in most cases the homeowners were home at the time while the burglar made entry through an unlocked window after cutting a storm screen
Last night, a homeowner was awake when he witnessed a foot coming through his window and shrieked, causing the burglar to flee, Daly said.
Valuables and cash were stolen from the burglarized homes.
Police tell TLS that clutter and dimly lit alleys between homes are very attracting to burglars and have found these common factors in many of the incidents.
“Have your readers who live in the basement apartments install motion lights outside”, and officer who wishes to remain anonymous, says. “Clean the area so it can be seen from the street”. “Most importantly, have them lock the windows”. “This person drops to the ground and makes easy entry into the home”. “Whether or not the apartment is occupied, it has not deterred him”.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detectives Bureau at 732-363-0200. TLS.

thank you so much to the entire force for all your hard work. To #3, while i know it must be difficult knowing that criminals walk the streets everyday please try to keep you and your family safe. that is all that matters. btw, there is “do process,” so it protects you and even criminals until they are caught.
He’ll be out on bail that night!!!!
I am glad you had that post (insert link here!!!) a couple of days ago where the Cheif aid that there were no burglaries over Pesach! I mean, why rob a house over Pesach when people take their jewelery with them? Just do it when everyone is home!! There’s no serious patrol anyway!
an alarm would greatly eliminate problem. stop complaining & help have a safer home.
its “due process” thank you
To #7 it’s easy to talk when you weren’t robbed!
