Police this evening are searching for a Hispanic male who fled the scene of an accident. The MVA occurred about 10:40 PM at the intersection of Cedarbridge and New Hampshire Avenue and involved three vehicles. Hatzolah, LFA and Police responded to the scene, but one of the parties fled on foot prior to their arrival.
Brick Police were also notified to be on the lookout for the man.
The others were uninjured. TLS-55/TLS-62.
First day of the New Year and an accident already. It certainly didn’t take very long. Hispanic male feeling on foot, no surprise there……

It makes me SICK to hear this every other day. Its not funny. Enough is enough! When are we going to do something to stop this insanity! Send them HOME! -The law enforcement officials are on patrol with their hands tied tightly. Democrats have made it impossible for officers to check the citizenship status of drivers unless they have committed a dwi, or a more serious crime/offense. THANK A BLEEDING HEART LIBERAL DEMOCRAT.

With the size of the town, the number of residents, traffic, and volume of emergency calls this type of everyday behavior is bound to happen. We need to impress upon our elected officials, both local and state government that we (as a country) need more police, and tougher laws. Someone in Washington needs to look at the Federal Immigration laws and get a plan into place. Its not fair to bash the locals, for a failing system. But a few K9 officers might be a good start in Lakewood, as they could certainly use them on a nightly basis.
STOP HIRING AND RENTING TO THEM???

You speak very clearly. We need to stop hiring those cleaning ladies (currently I clean myself. I do a better job!) The problem is with large families we need an alternate way to get help than the illegals.
And to those who do not believe Mr. Conservative look at what happened to California. They made the illegals welcome and invited them into the state. Look what happened they are broke! They had working class people with NO medical care, BUT the illegals had medical coverage. when is this going to stop.
When this guy is caught he’ll be in big trouble but he is lucky that no one got hurt. I say when they catch him because they will catch him. When it comes to the police you can run but you can’t hide.
If the police stop a motorist and he/she has no license or registration, we should confiscate the car and sell it at auction. This would allow our police to stop cars for violation of inspection or otherwise and get these illegals off the road. We should also stop any vehicle with a Pennsylvania plate since illegals tend to register their cars there. This is the third accident that I know of with an illegal. In the other two, people were killed. We must put a stop to this.
