  1. Well it is a little ridiculous to go with 2 huge green bins to a site almost a mile away! They should have a collection Monday morning!

  2. B”H the police are finally doing something to prevent this annual sakana. We need LPD to provide the sechel for those that seem to lack any.

  3. If you are crazy enough to endanger the life of the passenger in the back you should get a ticket.

#1 why should the dpw have a monday pick up. its not enough that they have people out for a whole week before pesach to accommodate YOU.

Plan accordingly put a plastic tablecloth in the trunk back of your van and put the garbage in and drive to the nearest pick up site.

  4. back in the days… (I’m not all that old) lakewood had trash pick 2x a week (monday and thursday for both regular and recyling) and erev Pesach they’d start early and pick up the whole towns’ garbage, whatever the day. those were the days….

  5. Those who’s garbage is usually picked up on Tuesday were supposed to have am additional pick up on Friday. But guess what? NO SHOW!

  6. agree with the dangers
would it be cheaper to get that one pickup erev pesach figure in the cans breaking by pulling them around town

  7. Well don’t wait until last minute to do what you have to do and then get mad when you get pulled over for doing something that is completely against the law

  8. Everyone stop complaining and stop being lazy. Its not such a big deal. Maybe 10 minutes of your time? It takes more time to open the scoop, read the article, and post your comment.

  9. i just saw a van pulling two cans with two young children hanging out the back, driving down central avenue at least 30 mph, how can people be so reckless???????

  10. DPW looks good in the eyes of the community by providing this all night long service. All it is, is overtime stint on our nickel. Do the normal thing. Not the inside out one. Tonight have a pick up thru out the town and finished.

  11. I saw a kid (guessing about 12 years old) scrunched up in the open trunk of a sedan holding onto a big green bin. This car was going down county line road at 40 mph!!!

I was *this close* to calling the police.

  12. No one has gotten hurt YET.. its just a matter of time before a van pulling this move hits another car and the kid in back goes flying out the van and gets run over by another car. Then everyone will scream moshiach and tshuvah and tehillim , when all they should have done in the first place is DEMANDED an end to this dangerous, reckless behavior.
