Police Pull Gun On Man Cleaning For Pesach Mistaking Him For Suspect

cops-guns-drawn-pic tlsOne minute he was taking a cigarette break, the next minute he was looking down the barrel of a gun. That’s what happened to a Frum man early this morning while he was cleaning for Pesach. At about 3:00 a.m. a man getting some fresh air while working for Pesach noticed flash lights in his backyard and went to investigate.

Before he knew it, he was looking down the barrel of a gun pointed at him while an officer ordered him to get to the ground, thinking he may have been the suspect they were looking for while combing backyards in the Lawrence area.

The man, laying on the ground with his hands on his head explained to the officers that he worked in the area and was just taking a break outside.

The police patted him down and apologized for the inconvenience. TLS-CCP.

  1. (i dont know why im giving credit to someone for doing something he is supposed to do, but with today’s nasty society, here goes) **Lots of credit to the man for complying and not acting cocky.**

to the police; thank you for risking your life looking for criminals and protecting my family. be safe!

  2. next time if there are flashlights in your backyard at 3 am, I’m sure you’ll go call the cops before u investigate. You are lucky there were cops holding those guns…

  3. I think TLS must hire someone new to write their articles. Almost every article that is not taken from another source has contradictions and other mistakes.

I am a little confused. Was this at his house or place of work? First the article says he was in his backyard, but then it says he told the police that he works in the area?

“…………noticed flash lights in his backyard and went to investigate.”

“…………explained to the officers that he worked in the area and was just taking a break outside”

  5. hey huh? the same rabbis who you are basing your psak on that smoking is assur will definetly also agree its 100 percent assur to be on the internet unless its strictly business which commenting on the scoop is def not in that category so dont judge unless you want to be judged

  6. to #13, if i was the type of guy that you describe why would i commend the actor for complying? why would i thank the police for protecting us?
