PHOTO: A parked car in Village Path was badly damaged after a driver crashed into it and then fled the scene, Sergeant Gertz says. The incident occurred around 4:00 AM yesterday morning. Police responded to the area for reports of an accident after nieghbors woke to a loud bang, but by the time officers arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene.
No suspect vehicle nformation is available. Photo-TLS-52/TLS-MK.
Is it too difficult for the police to check out who owned the car? They have $4000 computers in their cars for that purpose.
#1…..HUH?!
Hey lol omg:
It’s OK Anony didn’t bother to read the story, He/She just had to comment.
Is that 4am this morning or 4am shabbos morning?
i heard the same loud bang @ 5 am in on cushman st
any leads ?
if your development would have a camera taking a photo of every car that comes in and out of your street you would have caught him already !
Hey #1,
Go back to sleep.
If there would be cameras there would be less trouble and crime, so let’s go lakewood a camera on every block
Camera’s in every store and mall have not stopped shoplifters for 20+ years.(and in malls your face is fully visible) so who really thinks cameras outside will stop anyone?
These animals will shoot and kill a cop in broad daylight. Have the cameras helped in any neighborhood they art in?(highlight/golf view/etc)NOPE!
# 8 dont forget about me too !
its time that Lakewood needs me on every corner
Cameras, Good Idea but Costly!!!
cameras on every block???? don’t we have enough cameras already in every traffic corner, bank , shoprite, traffic light, park,
it’s getting so we won’t won’t have a speck of privacy left. We ‘ll have to go into the forest just to get away from technology
besides cameras never stop the real crimminals from moving ahead with their plans.
who knows , you may be surprise at what the camera records too!
lol
You are (moderated) more lights would not have prevented this from happening. It was a parked car, It looks like the offender drove on the sidewalk to have hit this car.
Mr conservative for govornor!
Maybe it was a hate crime like what happened in Midwood.
#9 is obviously an imposter, i.e. NOT the real Mr. Conservative.
I have never caught the Mr. Conservative on a spelling or grammar mistake. Post #9 is replete with both.
I know the owner of the damaged car… You have all got the story wrong…. Typical
Then tell us the real story and stop letting us get it wrong.
TO #16
-it actually was me. it was one of the few times i use my ipod to surf the net, and you we all the know the silliness the auto-correct can produce. my apologies for any spelling issues.
-but back on topic, camera’s really never stopped anyone, unless its a 12 year old kid in a 7-11 looking to swipe a candy bar. Camera’ s dont stop or deter bank robberies….. does anyone really think its going to deter people from motor-vehicle infractions or private property violations?
its clear as day by the thousands of dollars invested into video cameras at golf-view & high point that VIDEO CAMERA’S DONT DETER CRIME. THEY ONLY VIDEO TAPE IT.
i hate to break it toya but you all got it wrong. cuz …
the guy driving the car is who. the guy telling it to da cop is what.
da guy reading it is i dont know.
the parked car belongs to which.
now da guy that knows the whole story is couldnt careless.
so, @ 4am what told da cop who hit da car.
da cop aksed him which car? he said right!
da cop said right what , whats says yes.
now da guys reading these comments aks da officer how he got his info cop says i dont know.
so if who knows what really happened couldnt care less.
ok no need for no dets no cameras i always got it all figged out, cya next time
