Police Looking for Hit and Run Driver Who Left Motorcyclist Injured

PHOTO: A motorcyclist was injured this morning after being struck by a Hit and Run driver. The incident occurred at the intersection of Pine Street and New Hampshire Avenue shortly after 9 AM.

Police say a black For pickup truck struck the motorcyclist, and continued driving down New Hampshire Avenue towards Toms River.

The cyclist was thrown from his bike and suffered a leg injury, police say. He was transported to KMC by EMS.

that street was not built for bikes
it needs sidewalks for that and there are no sidewalks

there is an accident on that corner almost every day. Luckily the EMS bulding is right there. Coincidence?

To #2, a motorcycle is to ridden on the road, there is a difference,between a bike and a motorcycle. Read the article fully before making comments. while we are on the subject of being on sidewalks why do people walk on the roads when there are sidewalks. I see this all the time,roads are for motor vehicles,sidewalks are for people.

i agree lakewood resident. just because its been happening doesnt mean we shouldn’t try and stop that from happening. what if something worse had happened? please think before you comment/speak.
