UPDATE: The truck turned out to be a rental of a local resident who could not find parking on his block.
When asked why he didn’t park the truck on a different block, if parking space on his block was unavailable, and chose instead to park it next to the school, the local resident told police: “I didn’t feel comfortable parking a U-Haul filled with firearms and explosives on a strange block.”
“My neighbors on my block know exactly what kind of crazed maniac I am,” he said, “but people who reside on a different block would freak out if they found out there are dozens of firearms and explosive devices in the truck with all sorts of threatening notes on the back seat.”
