Police are investigating an assault in downtown Lakewood this evening.
The assault happened in Red Square, which is next to the police station.
According to preliminary information, it appears one of the parties involved were stomped multiple times on the head. He is being transported to the JSUMC with paramedics.
Anyone with information should call police.
