Police Chief Greg Meyer: No DUIs over Purim in Lakewood

Purim is the most joyous festival in the Jewish calendar, and despite many getting intoxicated during the Holiday celebrations, the value of life was not overlooked.

Police Chief Greg Meyer tells TLS there were no incidents of DUI (Driving Under the Influence) over the 24-hour Holiday of Purim.

“It was very uneventful – we’re very happy,” the Chief said.

It’s something the Lakewood community as a whole, once again, can be very proud of.
