Police, Chaveirim Called After Dog Found Left in Car

PHOTO: A dog left in a vehicle in a local parking lot prompted a passerby to call police this afternoon. The passerby noticed the dog jumping around the locked vehicle at about 12PM, and with the owner nowhere to be found, he phoned police.

Police reached out for Chaveirim to unlock the vehicle, but the owner of the vehicle emerged from a nearby office moments later.

The owner reportedly told police the dog was left in the vehicle for a couple of hours, as he didn’t want to have it cause a disturbance at the office.

The officer explained to the owner the dangers of leaving an animal inside a locked vehicle, and released him with a warning. TLS-MK.

  1. It’s not a problem to leave a dog in a car for a short time if it’s not terribly cold outside. They can take it. In this case the “tattle” was correct, but I think he jumped to call the police too quickly.
