Police Chase On Route 70-Driver Possible Stroke Victim

LPD small LPDJUST IN: Police have just ended a pursuit on Route 70 in what initially appeared to be a wild driver. Police received a call approximately 25 minutes ago from a caller saying there was a man driving erratically. Police attempted to pull the driver over but to no avail. Other officers joined the pursuit as the man continued to drive in and out of lanes. As police began closing in on the vehicle, they noticed a 68 year old man behind the wheel. The car finally came to a stop on Route 70. When police approached the car, they noticed that the man-who has a medical condition-was semi-conscious and was unable to open the door. Medics were dispatched as police busted the window to remove the man. Police say the man may have been suffering a Stroke. The patient was transported with EMS to Jersey Shore Medical Center. TLS

  1. Unfortonately this has not been the only case like this. There was a story about half a year ago up in N. Jersey where a man had a stroke only on one half of his body. That side included his foot that was on the gas pedal. The cops had to ram him to stop the vehicle.
