Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for multiple burglaries in the Lakewood and Jackson areas, after he was involved in a Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Accident, Detective Lieutenant Paul Daly tells TLS. Henry M, 26, of Lakewood, was involved in a hit and run accident on Martin Luther King Drive, but his vehicle was located by police shortly following the incident.
When police tracked down his vehicle, the suspect – with previous arrests on record – was recognized by Detective Robert Humaney, despite giving the Detective his false name, Daly said.
A warrant was issued to search his vehicle and police found a Television and Xbox in his vehicle, which was later identified to belong to a Jackson resident robbed earlier in the day.
The suspect was arrested and taken into custody and is being charged with multiple burglaries in Lakewood and Jackson.
He is being held in Ocean County Jail in excess of $100,000 bail Daly said. TLS.
