(PHOTO taken moments ago) K9 has just been called in to the area of Chambers Bridge and Route 88 in search for a suspect who has fled from police approximately an hour ago. The suspect was being placed under arrest by an officer at the Exxon gas station at the corner, when he fled. Police have the suspect’s shirt-which came off during the attempted arrest. LPD and State Police have swarmed the area including the woods leading to the GSP.
U/D 3:40 p.m. The suspect has been idendified-though not found-and the search is being called off.
