Pleasant Plains Firefighters Recognized for Heroic Life-Saving Actions During Toms River Incident

The Township of Toms River has honored members of the Pleasant Plains Fire Department for their heroic actions during a July CPR emergency that resulted in a life being saved.

During the call, the crew from Engine 3041 responded swiftly and worked seamlessly as a team to provide critical aid before EMS arrival. Their quick thinking and decisive action were credited with helping save a life that day.

Among those recognized were Dispatcher Michael Cocco — who also serves as Assistant Chief of the Silverton Volunteer Fire Company — along with Ex-Chief/Firefighter Charlie Bauer, Firefighter Thomas Pullaro, Firefighter Dylan Batzel, and Firefighter David Lentchner of the Pleasant Plains Fire Department.

“These firefighters exemplify what it means to serve with dedication, courage, and professionalism,” township officials said. “Their teamwork and rapid response made all the difference.”
