  1. That is most certainly not a pitbull – thats either an american bulldog or an english bulldog – and to the judgmental person saying they are better off without this pet with school aged children you are obviously uneducated do some research before making such idiotic comments both pitbulls and american bulldogs are fabulous pets with children – its bad owners that give pits their bad rep not the dog

  2. Thanks for the education, Shannon. As far as my education goes, pit bulls are responsible for many unprovoked attacks on small children…it is in their nature. As a mother I would probably feel more comfortable with a poodle or terrier which are known to be significantly less violent. Btw, the article clearly states that the picture is not of the missing dog.

  3. hey #4 did you know that pit bulls are part of the terrier family??? (I believe american straffordshire terrier is the correct name pit bull is a lot easier to say.) Not sure if you did any research or just stating what you see on tv/media, but “pit bulls” were actually used by nanines in the late 1800’s. Yes nanies that were watching groups of children. Cant let a few bad apples spoil the bunch. Just dont hear enough good stories about the breed. All negative attention.

  4. If pit bulls weren’t attacking children, the “media” wouldn’t have a lot to say about them. Statistically, pit bulls are responsible for more human deaths than any other breed. 2 weeks ago a close family member was attacked by 2 loose pit bulls. That is all the education I need to never have one as a pet.
