Chai Lifeline of Lakewood will be recognizing Dr. Scott Adzick, world renown surgeon-in-chief at CHOP, and will present him with the Community Service award at the Lakewood reception this evening. Besides for his prestigious title as Chief of Pediatric Surgery in CHOP, Dr. Adzick is the director of The Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment. He is known for pioneering in-utero surgery for fetuses with known birth defects, such as CDH or Spina Bifida.
“By treating these congenital defects before and after birth, Dr. Adzick is significantly improving the life of a child before he or she is born,” says Rabbi Sruli Fried, Director of Chai Lifeline NJ. “His surgery can allow an ill child a chance at a normal childhood and even a shot at adulthood”.
Rabbi Fried adds, “Dr. Adzick’s incredible work has turned lives around in Lakewood and the world at large”. “We appreciate the outpour of support that the community has shown to the Cholim of Lakewood and look forward to greeting you at the reception tonight.”
The Chai Lifeline Lakewood reception will be at the Bais Faiga Hall tonight, July 26th. The reception begins at 9pm and the program at 10.

We have a lot of hakoras hatov to Dr. Adzick for being the right shaliach to operate on our son. Thank you!
We were at CHOP before the days of Chai Lifeline, trust me it would’ve been a smoother ride had we had them. There was no one at our side, we had to navigate on our own and we were relatively young. B”H everything worked out , we didn’t have Dr. Adzick but one of his group and he was phenominal as well as the NICU nurses.
we have boundless hakoras hatov to Dr.Adzick for being the right shaliach for our son’s surgery. May HKB”H continue to guide your hands and give you the siyata dishmaya to help so many children!
Dr. Adzick is an amazing guy that has mad miracles happen for my son, Aiden. He was basically born with his insides on the outside. After 8 surgeries and 112 days at CHOP he came home a happy little boy. He still has medical issues, but with Dr. Adzick’s and many other doctors help we are working through them all. You ROCK Dr. Adzick!
