PHOTOS & VIDEO: Last night, a large crowd showed up to the inaugural Learn & network Dinner at Bais Hatorah. The dinner featured a lavish buffet catered and sponsored by Yitzy Mandel Caterers, music, and words of Chizuk from several Rabbonim and business leaders, including Gedalia Weinberger from NY.
The M.C., was R’ Duvi Frankel.

This is a great idea. The Hamodia had a featured article last week of a similar one-man-organization somewhere in the Midwest.
It needs more community input. My suggestions are as follows:
1. Agudah should get involved and spread it across America
2. A website should be developed for it.
3. The phrase Kollel has confused many people. Maybe “network & learn” would better represent its purpose. I know many people have been confused by the “Kollel” phrase
4. TLS should somehow link to it.
5. etc.
I thought this was in conjunction w/Chavrei Hakollel, can someone please clarify
what is Chavrei Hakollel? who said that it had anything to do with this?
Night kolel & morning kolel is used all over. It just means a gathering of ppl.
Judging from what I saw last night – they need 2 groups
1) for ppl entering or newly entered in the job market
2) for older fellows who lost their job
hard for the 2 to mix – totally different age groups
Rabbi Rubin the Rosh Kakollel is from Chavrei Hakollel, and yes this is part of Chavrei Hakollel, they are temporarily learning in Brookhill BM while the Chavrei BM is fixing the structural damage

This is NOT part of Chavrei hakolllllel. Yes, they are affiliated in the aspect that they started by using their building & the Roshe Kollel is affiliated with them.
However, this is actually an organization which was founded and is run by none other than the wonderful Duvi Honig!
In what way is this Kollel PART of Chavrei Hakollllllel???
