PHOTOS & VIDEO: Lakewood Historian Sheldon Wolpin, known as Mr. Lakewood, was laid to rest today in his beloved town of Lakewood,amidst Military honors.
Sheldon, the Chairman of the Heritage Commission, and the founder of the Lakewood Historical Museum, was also a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He passed away Monday evening at the age of 89 after a long battle with cancer.
Officials, friends and family gathered at the Holocaust Memorial Chapel, where he was eulogized by Rabbi Tendler, Rabbi Yoffe, Senator Singer, his children and others.
Shivah will be taking place at 245 Martine Way, in Lions Head Woods.
