PHOTOS: Unattended Bag Prompts Closure of NJ Transit Station

PHOTOS: The New Jersey Transit bus terminal on First Street was evacuated and shut down this afternoon after an unattended bag was located, as earlier reported on our News Alerts.

Police shut First Street between Clifton and Lexington Avenues shortly after 1 PM as they awaited the NJ Transit’s K9 Unit to determine the contents of the bag, reported by the NJ Transit’s security.

The bag was determined to be personal belongings. The station reopened about 2 PM.

Lakewood Police have responded to approximately five similar incidents around Lakewood in the past week. [TLS-CCP].

  1. If anyone has any stupid comments regarding wasting time on unoccupied bags should refer to this past week and keep those comments to themselves.
