Did Yosef Mutterpearl and Yaakov Fisgus fill out their Census Forms? Did all the Firefighters fill theirs out?
Hey – Is the South Side Sandwich shop related? Can we get them to sponsor food for a Firefighters Census event? just a thought….

I think enough is enough with the census comments why waste space with this. Isnt the TLS moderator time more valuable. Someone has too much time on their hands. Why not use your time constructivley and find a job so you can help legitimatly with the census or are you in this for some other value. You know you can get paid to do it and help the taxpayers out instead of harrassing.
Hey do you think Bar Ilan, Amazed and Incontheivable filled out their Census Forms? I’d bet they did.

not only did I fill out my census forms I mailed them in also. Just filling them out and not sending them in does nothing.

I think we need more yidden to join the Fire Dept, instead of just crowding around calls and getting in the way!
I hear they are alway accepting applications but you have to be willing to go to classes..unfortunately the classes in ocean county fire academy are mostly during the week but you would have to check with the fire companies..there are some saturday classes..but you have to be sponsored (by a fire dept to attend) you can not just go when you want. It is a hard job becoming a firefighter..training is a must with us. I am a firefighter in this town and I take it very seriously. When I get to a fire, I, am not interested in answering questions about what was on fire or how it started..Please just let me to my job so my fellow members and I can go home safe..
The procedure is simple. See a firefighter? Talk to them, find out what u would need to do and then do it.. There is a process set in place by our Local Fire Commissioners..its hard but the rewards are so Awesome ..and you get a sense of pride as well..
who needs to be woken up in the middle of the night? Not me! I’ll just sit back and be a bystander while you guys with the hard hats take care of things. Thanks for the invite…but no thanks!

To join one of the 5 Lakewood Fire Companies you must write a letter of interest stating: (preferably typed but a least clearly written)
1) Why are you interested in becoming a firefighter and why with that
company.
2)Your full name, age, address, and phone number you can be
reached at.
You may mail the letter, place it the Fire Company’s mail box or give it to a member of that company.
To be eligable you must be a Lakewood resident for one year prior to
appling and after appointment.
You must be at least 18 years old.
You must be a U.S. citizen.
You must be able to pass a drug test and medical physical exam.
You must be able to pass a criminal backround check.
