[PHOTOS BELOW] In wake of the Dallas shootings, and continuing in the spirt of the nation, some thoughtful residents of Toms River dropped by the police station today to show their respect and appreciation for all that the Police department does.
“The men and women from every police department need to to be recognized and thanked for putting their lives on the line every day protecting us,” said Shmuel Walkin, a resident of Tallymawr Estates.
The small group brought some refreshments to the station, and included the following heartwarming note:
To our dearest police officers, we would like to take this opportunity,
To voice our support and thanks, on behalf of the community.
Today is a day we want to show, our love and respect,
to the men and women, who serve and protect.
Each and every day, you dress in the uniform of glory,
And set out to continue writing, the American story.
You protect the path, our founding fathers did pave,
And ensure we remain the land of the free, and the home of the brave.
At a time of chaos, and unprecedented confusion,
We confirm the message “all lives matter”, without exclusion.
Please carry on proud, of the amazing work you do,
And know that we are all standing right behind you!
With utmost respect and admiration,

“We brought our kids along too,” says Tallymawr Estates resident Sruli Loeb, “it’s important for the children to be taught from a young age the importance of showing thanks to those who serve to protect us.”
The officers graciously posed for pictures with the kids, and thanked the residents for their support.
