An infant was seriously injured after being ejected from a vehicle when it overturned on the Garden State Parkway last night, officials tell TLS. Several other were also injured.
The single-vehicle accident occurred around 9 PM at approximately mile marker 105.
Moments after the accident, a Lakewood Hatzolah member, an off-duty police officer and off-duty EMT passed by the scene and sprang into action.
The Hatzolah member was the only one on scene with the proper equipment.
The one-year-old, reportedly unrestrained in the car seat, was found unconscious, officials say. Three others in the vehicle were not seriously injured.
“A one-year-old infant was ejected and suffered serious injuries,” The NJSP told TLS.
The first ambulance arrived approximately 15 minutes later, and transported the toddler to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with severe injuries.
The Troopers and others thanked the Lakewood Hatzolah member and off-duty Good Samaritans for being at the right place at the right time.
Maybe show this to the Asbury Park Press.
Kol Hakovod!!!!
@hi
You are too bitter about the situation. Can’t change anything. This is the way it was for 2000 years and this is the way it will be until mashiach comes
Hatzolah member is a HERO!!!!
he is the best , nicest and most courteous decent Human being alive, dedicated to doing good for people all day and night.
he is calm, professional and moves with speed that makes you confuse him with an Angel.
literaly the Malach Refoel for so many in need.
LAkewood should be proud
Hatzolah Should be proud and may we all never need such help.
but did anyone notice the part about the child NOT being restrained properly in his car seat?
ONE OF THE THINGS THAT SET HATZOLAH APART IS the EQUIPMENT EVERY MEMBER HAS in their CAR. This is an enormous expense for Hatzolah, and, by extension, the community. Special thanx to R’ Avrom Waxman who works tirelessly to raise the necessary funds to keep Hatzolah Vehicles rolling and the members fully equip[ped to handle medical emergencies. Hatzlocha !!
APP wrote of the incident but made no mention of these details. In fact on patch.com where the story also appears, a comment suspect the drivers of being from a “certain community recently in the news for fraud,” because their names are not published and they didn’t follow the car seat laws.
It’s almost humorous.
Then you should comment about it in their blog; in general, if we are on a site like app, nj.com anyway and we have a comment that will be a kiddush HaShem, we should make it known.
Wow. Kudos to the hatzalah member, state police, and the good Samaritans that stopped to help.
Hatzalah members are amazing. I’ve seen that member in action – he goes above and beyond to do what needs to be done. Kudos to you Mr. M.R.
The APP will not publish any positive about Jews.
Was it a staewide Hatzalha call?
