Six people were injured in an accident on Cedarbridge Avenue last night, police confirm.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at the entrance to the Parkway around midnight.

EMS, Lakewood First Aid and Brick Township EMS responded to the scene, and upon arrival found six people injured, with at least one suffering severe injuries, officials say.

The patients were transported to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus and Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

The area was shut for approximately two hours as Traffic Safety investigated.
