Road workers were in Lakewood this morning to urge Senator Robert Singer to vote for the gas tax increase to replenish the Transportation Trust Fund.
About 20 protested were on hand with signs saying “vote YES for TTF”.
Senator Singer was not at his Lakewood office today.

I don’t agree with gas tax going up higher because it ruin the economy more.
Here’s an idea….. why not abolish mandatory gas attendants which significantly raise the gas prices and use that money to fund the TTF. I think it’s high time we ended this useless practice.
NO !!!!!. I DON’T want the gas tax increased. I want the WASTE on road building/repairing decreased. Why can other states do road work for a fraction of the cost in NJ??? Example- NJ does not need union flag wavers making $25+ /hour? The state should let NON-UNION companies bid on word work.
There no reason to raise gas taxes we have enough problem the road project is waste of our money we need to end using salt and use sand or something else that doesn’t ruin the road.
Singer not even there. More like the union wants it raised.
“Unions & “Trust” & “Funds” don’t go in the same sentence. Maybe a long sentence, served consecutively.
