A reception was held in Lakewood last night for Frum Assemblyman Gary Schaer.
In his capacity as Chairman of the New Jersey State Assembly Budget Committee, Assemblyman Gary Schaer has been able to allocate millions of dollars to nonpublic schools in New Jersey.
Assemblyman Schaer is the only Frum Jew in the New Jersey State assembly or senate, and has become the ultimate go-to person for any challenges facing the Frum community across New Jersey.
The reception was hosted by and R’ Yanky Friedman, and co-hosted by Meir Lichtenstein. Introducing the Assemblyman, was BMG’s CEO Reb Aaron Kotler.
Among the attendees, was Agudah New Jersey’s Director, Rabbi Avi Schnall.
“Assemblyman Schaer has done so much for the Lakewood community, even though Lakewood is not within his district,” commented Rabbi Schnall. “Assemblyman Schaer was instrumental in getting the historic Lakewood busing bill signed and has allocated millions of dollars for Yeshivos throughout New Jersey as chairman of the state budget committee.”
He added, “Last night’s event was an opportunity to express our gratitude. It was very gracious of Yanky Friedman for opening his home for this event, and Meir Lichtenstein for co-hosting the event.”
