Today, 23rd of Elul, marks the 20th Yahrzeit of the September 11 victims.
Being that September 11 this year falls out on Shabbos, a private event was held today to mark the Hebrew Yahrtzeit of the victims.
The event was spearheaded by Rabbi Mendy Carlebach, the Israeli Consulate, and the PAPD.
Most interesting. It was exactly twenty years ago on this hebrew date that 911 happened. Also it was on a Tuesday. This weeks parsha Netzovim was also the parsha and at shlishee which many break up their parsha learning over the week mentions how the enemy will swoop down like eagles and destroy your high and fortified walls. Amazing.
