PHOTOS: President Obama Makes Surprise Visit to U.S. Troops in Afghanistan

afghanistan_02PHOTOS: President Barack Obama visits with U.S. Troops in Afghanistan during a surprise visit yesterday. The President met with the troops in Bagram Airfield in Bagram, Afghanistan, where he addressed the crowd and personally shook hands with each soldier.

This was the President’s fourth visit to Afghanistan as president, and his first since winning re-election.

  2. Ok You are right, what I mean is that it is news regardless where it is or who it is about. Lakewood does have a lot of Veterans, and it should be shared. Im a Veteran I personally dont care for the President or agree with his ways. All the same he is our President and will be for a little longer. His visiting the soldiers may not directly affect everyone who reads the scoop but then again nothing on this or any other news affects everyone who sees or hears it.
