The hundreds of law enforcement officers arrived in Lakewood around 11:AM, and held a ceremony at police headquarters before continuing on their way.

The Police Unity Tour is a four-day bike tour to Washington, D.C. that honors law enforcement officers who died while on duty, and at the same time raises funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial.

Lakewood Police Officers Vega, Buble and D’Elia are taking part in the ride this year.

The ride will take the officers to the National Law Enforcement Officers memorial, where the names of the fallen officers are read from an inscribed wall.
