PHOTOS: Overturn Accident Takes Out Two Poles on County Line Rd. in Lakewood; Traffic Alert

An early-morning overturn accident in Lakewood left two poles down.

The accident happened shortly before 2:00 AM on County Line Road, between Brook Road and Somerset Avenue.

The driver suffered only minor injuries.

Police tell TLS it appears the driver was speeding and lost control of the vehicle.

The road is expected to be shut for several hours for the extensive repairs.

UPDATE: Police say the road is expected to be shut until approximately 4:00 PM this afternoon.

Expect heavy delays in the area and plan accordingly.

  1. County Line Rd, especially on the west side of 9, has become a race track lately. It doesn’t matter what time of day but the speeding is especially noticeable at night. The police need to do something before there is a tragedy.

  2. Another example of the homeostasis of risk- as the deadly consequences of risky behavior diminish, people will increase the danger of their behavior.
