The Silverton Volunteer Fire Company hosted firefighters from across the region today for a leadership seminar led by Retired Deputy Chief Frank Viscuso of the Kearny Fire Department.

Fire officers and firefighters from Toms River Fire Districts #1 and #2, the Lakewood Fire Department, and the Island Heights Fire Company joined Silverton personnel for the “Step Up and Lead” program, which drew more than 70 attendees.

The full-day seminar focused on strengthening leadership skills within the fire service, with Chief Viscuso delivering practical tools, insights, and real-world guidance to those in the room.
