Governor Huckabee, along with other members of the mission, visited the Kosel Hamaaravi and attended a dinner at the nearby Between the Arches restaurant. The dinner was hosted by the Ateret Cohanim organization, which works to spread the Jewish presence throughout Yerushalayim.

Governor Huckabee delivered an impassioned speech extolling the long Jewish history throughout Israel and Judea and Samaria, and his religious convictions regarding the Jewish connection to the land. He firmly denounced recent anti-Israel moves by the UN and the Obama administration, and Secretary of State John Kerry’s speech declaring that Israel cannot be both Jewish and Democratic. “Maybe Secretary Kerry should pay a visit,” Governor Huckabee quipped.
