One person was hospitalized after a fire broke out in her home in Lakewood, officials say.
The fire broke out in the Michelle Way home around midnight.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home.
The fire was knocked down a short time later.
The victim was hospitalized with smoke inhalation at Ocean Medical Center.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
