PHOTOS: Officials gathered on Thursday to say goodbye to Kenny Dix, an OEM Deputy Coordinator and former Class ll Police Officer in Lakewood who retired after 33 years of service to the community.
Police Chief Rob Lawson said Kenny was a dedicated servant to Lakewood, whether it was with patrol in the parks, or through his various other capacities he served in during his years of service.
He also taught dozens of classes within the OEM, including educating approximately 170 CERT members.
Dix, who will be retiring in Arizona, was too emotional to address those gathered, but thanked everyone for their support during his career.
The event took place at police headquarters.
