PHOTOS: Over 100 police officers from around Ocean County, community leaders and officials gathered today at the ‘Bagels, Lox & Cops’ event hosted by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
The event, which took place at Lake Terrace, provided an opportunity for representatives of the Orthodox Jewish Community to share cultural concerns
and valuable information with the various Law Enforcement officials throughout the County.
Following a catered buffet breakfast, the attendees heard from a panel of speakers which included the Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato, Police Chief Rob Lawson, Police Commissioner and Chaplain Meir Lichtenstien, Mayor Menashe Miller and Chaplain Rabbi Abe Muller. Also in attendance, was community activist Benny Heinemann, and Chaplain Rabbi Abe Friedman and representatives from the NJ Chaplains Association.
“Communicating with the public we serve, understanding their issues and concerns is critical to any law enforcement agency achieving support and true policing success within a community,” says Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Spokesman Al Della Fave.
The speeches were followed by a question and answer session, and concluded with lunch.
