The Lakewood-based New Jersey Chaplains Association, Lakewood Civilian Safety Watch, and the Lakewood Clergy Association are among community organizations being honored at an event at the White House today.
The event honored multiple organizations who worked with FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security during Hurricane Sandy and beyond to bring resilience to the community while working across religious and ethnic lines.
Also among honored, were John Paige from the NJ Office of Homeland Security, and David Lenordias from the NJ AG Office.
