New playgrounds and playground renovations are coming around town, as parts that were ordered pre-Covid are finally arriving, Township officials tell TLS.
Among the newest playgrounds around town, are Pine Park, and the Clifton Avenue park – which crews began working on today.
Some of the projects happened as a result of residents bringing them to the attention of Mayor Coles through the TLS Ask The Mayor column.

We are still waiting for the Parks Department to replace the playground in Sunset Park that they took down last year ( the original yellow one)
Is Sunset Park on the list? The old yellow one was removed a few years ago and we were left with broken concrete and a hole in the ground without a fence to keep it safe.
was wondering the same thing about sunset park. It can get really crowded; would be nice if they would finally replace the old yellow playground they demolished a couple of years ago. The Softball field has been kept in poor condition the past few years! I stopped allowing my kids to play in the playground ever since the gate door to the softball field came down; all it takes is one foul ball through the doorway, heaven forbid!
Please don’t tell me that the Township forgot to apply for the FY2023 LRIG Grant this time around!!
Can there be (at least some of the time) separate hours for boys and girls? It’s never to young to teach about tsnius.
