PHOTOS: New Lakewood First Aid Ambulance Goes Into Service

A new Lakewood First Aid ambulance went into service last week after undergoing inspection.

The new ambulance will replace an older ambulance which is being decommissioned and is the Lakewood First Aid Squad’s first new ambulance in roughly two decades.

The ambulance was custom-built for Lakewood First Aid by PL Custom Emergency Vehicles in Manasquan.

An LFA official told TLS the squad chose to work with that company specifically due to its prior relationship with Lakewood First Aid, as well as several other advantages it provided, including its close proximity which allowed EMS to closely monitor the ambulance’s production and will allow for easy and quick future ambulance outfitting if necessary.
