PHOTOS: New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy welcomes delegation of Jewish community leaders

A delegation of Jewish community leaders this week met with Governor Phil Murphy, and presented him with a Mezuza plaque ahead of Pesach.

Among those in attendance, were Rabbi Avi Richler, Chabad NJ, Rabbi Moshe and Mendel Herson, Chabad NJ, Lakewood Committeeman Meir Lichtenstein, and Law Enforcement Chaplain Rabbi Abe Friedman.

  1. Can anyone explain to me why Lakewood has one representative at the table with the governor when we are such a big voting bloc? Looks like some people know what they are doing!

  2. #1, interesting point. Maybe, different communities have very different attitudes towards forging relationships with elected officials.
