Several changes came to the Board of Education during their reorganization meeting last night.
First, the newly-elected members – Menachem Friedman and Joshua Weinberger – were sworn in, along with the incumbent Ada Gonzalez.
Following the swearing in, Ada Gonzalez was voted in as the new Board President, with newcomer Menachem Friedman being voted in as the Vice President.
Also at the meeting, it was announced that Board Member Yoni Silver has resigned, though no reasons were cited. He served on the Board for approximately five years, and was up for reelection next year.
The Board announced that they are now accepting resumes to fill the vacant position, which they hope to accomplish in time for the mid-February meeting.
