by E.T. Mesivta Of Eatontown celebrated 9 years of making impressions on its talmidim, with a beautiful dinner in River Terrrace. The dinner mirrored exactly what MOE is known for in the Yeshiva world. Warm, loving ,emotional and all inclusive. Hundreds of attendees from Lakewood and NY area filled the hall to capacity. “I planned to drop in for 2 minutes” one attendee noted, “but I couldn’t leave till the program was over, never have I felt such inspiration and warmth at a fundraising event. The guests comprised of parents of talmidim, former talmidim of MOE, friends and family of the honorees and of the mesivta. Above all, the dinner graced by people who care. Individuals who recognize the great impact MOE is having on the teens of Klall Yisroel.
The program began with Rabbi Sender Kaszirer, Rosh Yeshiva of MOE comparing this years dinner to bikkurim. In the theme of the evening, celebrating the alumni. How each young bachur started out as a small fruit , but eventually shtaiged and grew into the suucessfull yungerlait they are today,. Rabbi Kaszirer went on to thank his amazing staff of rebbeim and specifically their wives and families, who open their homes and hearts for the hatzlacha of the boys.
The evening was dedicated by the by Mrs. Pessy Schnall and Mrs. Edith Glueck in memeory of Mr. Louis Glueck A”H. His grandson, Rabbi Avi Schnall, Chaiman of Agudath Yisroel of N.J. and R”M Yeshivas Bais Meir, spoke eloquently on behalf of the family, how Mr. Glueck was a trailblazer in helping struggling teens, specifically through Our Place and Project Y.E.S. The honorees of the evening included three alumni of the mesivta. Mr. and Mrs. Chaim Katz, Mr. and Mrs. Yitzee Rahimi and MR. and Mrs. Simcha Hyman. Each one spoke in emotional terms of the love they receive from the rebbeim and of the close kesher they and their families have with Rabbi Kaszirer and his family. Guest of honor was presented to Mr. and Mrs Shea Wienberger.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the moving words from the guest speaker, Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zwiebel, Executive VP of Agudath Yisroel. Rabbi Zwiebel wowed the assembled about the importance of mosad like MOE where each boy is accepted as is, and is tought the beauty of Torah according to his ability. He compared the boys of MOE ,to the Bnei Yisroel in the midbar by Pesach Sheni, who cried Lama Nigara! “Why should we be different, because we wear a colored shirt or it might not be tucked in at all times. Don’t we deserve a yeshiva as well? are the cries of the boys today.” Rabbi Zwiebel exclaimed to thunderous applause. In addition he made special mention of Mr. Louis Glueck, a close confidant of Rabbi Moshe Sherer z”l, and a member of the board of Aguth Yisroel. At the conclusion of the evening an enjoyable video presentation was shown, depicting a day in MOE.
Mesivta of Eatontown is yeshiva high school, for boys who are seeking a more relaxed approach to our typical mesivta/chinuch system. Led by Rabbi Sender Y. Kaszirer and his amazing staff, BH the yeshiva has seen great success with its talmidim. Since moving to Lakewood this past September, the Mesivta and its Rebbeim have become an address for those who seek hadracha in chinuch of teens in these times.
