A Lakewood resident shopping in Brick was shocked when he became the victim of an apparent anti-Semitic attack.
According to the victim, and a police report provided to TLS, the resident shopping at the Best Buy in Brick was legally parked in a handicap spot because of a recent surgery, when a man walked over to him and began yelling at him.
“He was yelling at me for parking there, saying “that’s the problem with your people, you guys think we owe everything to you,” with added swear words. He then proceeded to smash my headlight.”
Police responded and categorized the report as ‘Criminal Mischief.’
The incident is under investigation by the Brick Police Department.

Did the driver have a valid Handicap Parking Permit? It is REQUIRED if the car is parked in a handicap space.
Look at the police report which is posted, it clearly says that it was parked LEGALLY. That means that HE HAD A Permit (placard)
Are the police going to get this criminal? Or not? Cuz they cant. Bec of some law. Or bec theyre busy giving out trafic tickets… They dont care about these small cases. I had a white older male key up my entire van in lakewood public library last summer. Noone cared. Police wrote a report and said theres nothing they can do. They cant go after the guy and they cant acsses security camreas from library becasue they would need a search warrent. Basically good bye good luck. Its ok to key up cars in this town. We dont prosecute for that. If you turn without a blinker then thats a dif story….
Why are police afraid to classify things as a hate crime
Listen Dovid, regardless of whether he was parked there legally or not, it does not justify anyone to behave in that manner. He did damage to someone’s car! It could have been yours. It’s clearly a hate crime and for that this despicable creature needs to be sought after.
Never mind that FBI statistics show that Jews in this country are the objects of hate crimes at nearly four times the rate of Muslims. It is mysteriously never reported who are the main perpetrators of hate crimes against Jews. In any case, when the administration alleges Islamophobia, it assumes that if it did not, ISIS might announce to Muslims worldwide, “We told you so,” to confirm its suspicions of American prejudices toward Islam.
Sounds like “Hate Crime” to me. Thanks to Brick PD for sanctioning Anti-Semitism.
