Longtime Lakewood Department of Public Works employee Bill Long last night graduated from the Certified Public Works Managers program.
Long, who was served with the DPW for over 18 years, currently works as a supervisor, and will soon be promoted to Assistant Superintendent.
William (Bill) started with the sanitation department in 2000, and worked his way to a driver. He then moved up to become Department Supervisor. By completing the CPWM program, Long help grow the organization as a whole.
“I’m proud of Bill’s success in Public Works and look forward to his future with the Department,” DPW Director Phil Roux, who graduated this program last year told TLS.
Township Manager and former Director DPW Patrick Donnelly says Long has been a dedicated employee.
“Bill has been a dedicated and loyal Lakewood Township DPW employee for many years, and many more years to come,” says Donnelly. “I am proud to stand next to Bill as a fellow CPWM graduate. Lakewood Township has now solidified another qualified individual to keep this Township and its Department going in the right direction.”
Donnelly added, “Hard work and dedication to achieve this accomplishment clearly has paid off!”
Las year, Phil Roux graduated the program. He currently serves as the Director.

I am so happy to know that you are helping to direct the future of Lakewood DPW. Congrats!!!!!
