PHOTOS: Local Officials Attend ANCHOR Event in Toms River Hosted by CARES

Statement: CARES Council would like to take a moment to thank the dedicated staff of the NJ Division of Taxation department and the 8 representatives who dedicated their time on a Sunday assisting hundreds of residents receiving their ANCHOR benefits at the CARES Council event.

According to Christina Quinones Stakeholder Liaison to NJ Division of Taxation, this event was the 2nd biggest turnout for an ANCHOR filing event, one after Newark.

Ocean County Commissioner Frank Sadeghi and Commissioner-Elect Robert Arace, currently Manchester Mayor, came by and were deeply impressed by the assistance Ocean County residents receive close to home avoiding the travel to apply for the program. They commended CARES Council and its founder Lipa Klein for the great work they do for the Yiddish-speaking community.

The ANCHOR application deadline was extended until Friday, December 6, 2024. We are encouraging everyone to apply before the deadline and keep their confirmation number so we can further assist if there are errors that will withhold your benefit. Residents who still need assistance with the ANCHOR application or would like to be notified of
future ANCHOR assistance events should reach out to our office at [email protected]

We appreciate the Westwood team hosting this great event. Anyone looking to rent office space at Westwood should please reach out directly to Mr. Eli Halpert at 347-585-4238.
