This past Sunday, six cadets of the Lakewood Civil Air Patrol had their orientation flights.

These flights are the cadet’s first introduction to flying an airplane from a pilot’s perspective, and each cadet got to fly in the co-pilot seat right next to the pilot.

They learned the basics of how to fly an airplane and they even get to control the plane through some basic movements and navigation exercises.
