PHOTOS: Lakewood Police Officers Among Hundreds of Unity Tour Riders

111Several Lakewood Police Officers joined law enforcement members from around New Jersey in the annual Police Unity Tour.

The Police Unity Tour is a four-day bike tour to Washington, D.C. that honors law enforcement officers who died while on duty, and at the same time raises funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial.

EMS rode along with the group Saturday from Red Bank to Mounty Holly, and Lakewood First Aid members yesterday rode along with the group from Mount Holly to Carneys Point.

LPD’s Traffic Safety Officers Frank Work and Erik Menck also joined the group on motorcycles.

The ride will take the officers to the National Law Enforcement Officers memorial, where the names of the fallen officers are read from an inscribed wall.

The officers are expected to arrive in Washington tomorrow afternoon.
