PHOTOS: Lakewood Police Department makes Promotions

During a ceremony at Police Headquarters today, four Lakewood Police Officers were promoted to the rank of Sergeant, and one to Detective.

The officers promoted to Sergeant are:

Justin Pederson, Chris Dibiase, Kevin Martin and Lenny Nieves Jr.

Officer Robert Lopez was promoted to Detective.

The rank of Sergeant gives the officers higher responsibilities, including supervising shifts and other duties.

Also during the event, the Department recognized the recently-hired officers.
