Lakewood resident Yossi Brander, who serves as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, was awarded this evening the Chief’s Appreciation award in Woodridge, New York.
Brander, who spent the summer in Upstate New York, also volunteers for the Woodridge Fire Department, and over the summer responded to numerous calls.
“I’m honored to have received the Chief’s Appreciation Award,” Brander told TLS. “I’d like to give a huge thanks to Chief Nolan Akerley, the chiefs, and my fellow firefighters for their support. It’s a privilege to serve alongside such a dedicated team, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to our community.”
Brander serves as a Lakewood Fire Department volunteer, Pleasant Plains First Aid volunteer EMT, Woodridge Fire Volunteer, and Lakewood EMS.
