PHOTOS: Lakewood Fire Department to take Delivery of two new Trucks

Lakewood Fire Department Chief John Yahr, along with other members of the Lakewood Fire Department, flew down to Wisconsin earlier this week for a final inspection of two brand new engines for the Department.

“Engine 4 and Engine 5 will be heading to Lakewood very soon,” Chief Yahr told TLS. “The new Engine 5 will replace the old one, which just recently hit over 100K miles. The New Engine 4 will go the the Engine 4 Company located at River Ave and James Street.”

The new engines were approved by the Board of Fire Commissioners following a public vote.

“Having the newest and most advanced equipment is vital,” Chief Yahr noted. “Our members and the community safety are our top priority and we won’t sacrifice anything to get to that goal.”

FYI Wisconsin is not ‘down’ (south) of NJ. It is actually NW of the state.
